Evolution of paper through the metamorphosis of the butterfly
Paper: it is the last stage of a long and refined process, which goes beyond the normal habits and distractions of use. For such an ephemeral and excellent material the memory of entire generations is entrusted, assuming an ironic and emblematic character towards those who make it a universe of artistic and non-artistic outlet.

Installazione in occasione del cinquantesimo anniversario della morte di Totò. I gesti caratteristici del grande attore napoletano, prendono forma su carta. Anteposto ai disegni vi è collocata una tazzina di caffè, con vero caffè dentro. Il ready-made simboleggia uno degli elementi più consacrati nella cultura napoletana, nonchè del grande maestro, e l’installazione vuole proprio evocare l’inscindibile rapporto che lega Totò a Napoli.

Installation on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Totò’s death. The characteristic gestures of the great Neapolitan actor take shape on paper. In front of the drawings there is a cup of coffee, with real coffee inside. The ready-made symbolizes one of the most consecrated elements in Neapolitan culture, as well as of the great master, and the installation really wants to evoke the inseparable relationship that binds Totò to Naples.
